Duncan gained his BSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Aston, however as a keen musician moved towards the music industry gaining work as a recording and touring musician in the UK and Europe, subsequently employed by the London based Chrysalis Music Group in studio sound engineering. This was followed by postgraduate Music Technology studies at London City University, subsequently setting up his own production company producing music for TV. He is currently senior lecturer and programme leader for MA Music Production at the University of Derby undertaking research into the GASP project – Guitars with Ambisonic Spatial Performance.
